Fusion Microfinance reduces interest rate to 24.5%
Fusion Microfinance Pvt Ltd, a leading NBFC-MFI in India, has reduced its rate of interest by 100 basis points to 24.5 %. The new rate of interest is effective from 1st November, 2016. Company had last reduced its rate in early 2016 by 50 basis points.

This reduction is in line with the company's mission to pass on the advantage of operational efficiencies and reduction in the cost of borrowing to its clients. Speaking on the announcement, Devesh Sachdev, CEO of Fusion Microfinance said, "Our gradual focus on digitization, improvement in processes and scale is leading to operational efficiencies on the one side. Strong capital base, profitability, track record and confidence among lenders on the other hand are leading to lower cost of borrowing".

MFIN to Host South Asian Regional Conclave on Microfinance
Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN) and South Asia Micro-Entrepreneurs Network (SAMN) have joined hands to organize South Asia focused regional conference on microfinance and financial inclusion. Honorable Finance Minister of India Mr. Arun Jaitley will be addressing the inaugural session. The conclave in its second edition will be held on March 8th – 9th, 2016 in Hotel Taj Palace, Delhi and would see representation from six countries including India – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The theme this year is 'Conclave 2016: Financial Inclusion to Sustainable Development the Road Travelled'.

MFIN inducts two news members on Governing Board
Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN), the premier industry association and Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) for the microfinance industry in India has announced inclusion of two new board members today.Ms. Meenal Patole and Mr. Devesh Sachdev have been inducted to the governing board beginning the month of February 2016, in the recent change of the organizational constitution. Ms. Meenal Patole is the promoter and CEO of Agora Microfinance India Limited, an MFI that is engaged in urban space, currently in Mumbai, with strong focus on customer oriented business processes and impact. Mr. Devesh Sachdev is the cofounder & CEO of Fusion Microfinance Pvt. Ltd
